Multi-Aperture Cores

Fair-Rite Multi-Aperture Cores are used in suppression applications and in balun (balance-unbalance) and other broadband transformers. These cores are employed in airbag designs to prevent accidental activation. The multi-aperture cores in 73 and 43 materials are measured for impedance on the E4990A impedance analyzer. These cores in 61 NiZn material are controlled for both impedance and A_L value. The 61 and 67 material multi-hole beads are tested for A_L value and the test frequency is 10kHz at <10 gauss. The 79 material product line continues to expand and include new geometries for power supply designs with operating frequencies up to 1MHz.
