Texas Instruments TPS7E81/TPS7E81-Q1 LDO Linear Voltage Regulators

Texas Instruments TPS7E81/TPS7E81-Q1 Low-Dropout (LDO) Linear Voltage Regulators are low quiescent current devices and support a wide input voltage range of 3V to 40V. The wide output range is 1.2V to 38V for the adjustable configuration, 1.8V to 12V for the fixed configuration, and a load current of up to 150mA is supported. With a quiescent current of only 2.8µA at no load, the device is designed to power microcontrollers and other low-power loads in battery-powered applications.

The TPS7E81/TPS7E81-Q1 supports very tight DC accuracy of ±1.2% over line, load, and temperature range. The device responds quickly to line and load transients. The low quiescent current (2.8µA typically) during regulation and controlled IQ, even in dropout operation (12µA typically in no-load dropout), makes this device well-suited for battery-powered or always-on systems that require very little idle-state power dissipation.

The TPS7E81/TPS7E81-Q1 supports a low dropout voltage of typically 450mV at 150mA of load current. The device has built-in protection mechanisms against overcurrent, overtemperature, and overpower conditions to ensure reliable LDO operation. The TPS7E81/TPS7E81-Q1 is stable with an output capacitor range of 2.2µF to 100µF. The Texas Instruments TPS7E81-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
